Terms of use

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This page describes how the site works today.

By using LocalMaxxing you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. How we handle your data is covered in the Privacy policy.

Accounts and API keys

  • You sign in with a GitHub or Hugging Face account. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • API keys act on your behalf, so keep them secret. A key is shown only once; revoke it from your dashboard if it leaks. Free accounts can hold up to 10 keys, Pro accounts up to 25.

Honest submissions

The leaderboard is only useful if the numbers are real. Submit results you actually measured, on the hardware and settings you report. Do not fabricate, edit or otherwise manipulate results or their evidence.

  • Every speed test is checked automatically. Results far above the theoretical limit of the reported hardware are marked suspicious and hidden from leaderboards until an admin restores them.
  • Admins can remove runs, mark them suspicious, restore them, and delete reports, comments and eval runs. They can also grant or revoke an account's verified status.
  • You can edit a run for 24 hours after submitting it.

Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post: runs, evals, reports, images, comments and listings. By posting it, you give LocalMaxxing permission to store it and show it publicly on the site, through the public API and feeds, and in link previews, for as long as it stays on the site. You can delete most of your content yourself; see the Privacy policy for how.

Only post content you have the right to share. Do not post other people's personal information or anything illegal.

Acceptable use

Submissions are limited per account:

  • Speed tests: 30 per rolling hour (300 on Pro).
  • Eval runs: 30 per rolling hour (300 on Pro).
  • Reports: 3 per 24 hours and 25 in total (30 and 500 on Pro). Comments: 60 per hour (600 on Pro).
  • Eval file storage: 5 GB (100 GB on Pro).

Do not try to get around these limits, interfere with the site, or use rentals or the API to reach systems you are not allowed to access.

Hardware marketplace

The marketplace lets sellers list hardware and lets buyers message them. LocalMaxxing does not take payment, handle shipping or inspect items, and is not a party to any sale. Price, payment, condition and delivery are between buyer and seller. Only list hardware you actually have and are allowed to sell.

Rentals

  • Owners list their own OpenAI-compatible endpoints. LocalMaxxing forwards renters' requests to those endpoints, meters token usage and charges renters in credits at the listed price.
  • Owners earn the amount charged minus a platform fee and can be paid out through Stripe Connect.
  • LocalMaxxing does not run the endpoints and does not guarantee their availability, speed or output. Owners are responsible for their servers and the models they serve. Requests that fail because an endpoint is unreachable are not charged.
  • Endpoints must be reachable over the public internet; private network addresses are rejected.

Pro and credits

  • Pro is a monthly subscription billed by Stripe at the price shown on the Pro page. It renews until you cancel it in the billing portal.
  • Credits are bought in packs through Stripe and are spent on rentals.

No warranty

Benchmark results, evals and reports are submitted by users. We run automated checks, but we cannot guarantee that any result is accurate. The site and its data are provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, LocalMaxxing is not liable for losses from using the site, its data, marketplace deals or rentals.

The site's source code is available under the MIT license on GitHub.

We may change these terms as the site changes. When we do, we update this page and the date at the top.
